Trusting battery settings year round until winter

I used to trust my home battery settings year round and honestly never thought much about them once everything was dialed in. Winter changed that for me. Colder nights and longer stretches without solar made me pay closer attention to how the system actually behaves over time.

Nothing failed, so that's confusing... and there were no surprises, but I noticed patterns that I didn’t see in warmer months. It made me realize that settings that feel perfect in summer might not be ideal once winter settles in.

Did winter make anyone else rethink how they set up their battery system, even if it’s been reliable?

I think winter exposes patterns that summer hides. The system can be reliable in both seasons but still behave very differently. I didn’t rush to change settings, I just adjusted expectations and started watching trends more closely once cold weather settled in.

Yep, winter does that. The system can be totally reliable and still behave differently once nights get longer and loads shift. Curious what you noticed first, faster overnight drops, slower recovery, or just the battery spending more time in the lower range than you’re used to?
