Home battery draining faster during cold nights

Last night was colder than usual and my home battery dropped a lot faster than I expected. Nothing unusual was running, and the load looked normal, but by morning the state of charge was lower than what I’m used to seeing. It made me wonder if cold temperatures are quietly eating into usable capacity.

I haven’t changed my charge limits or reserve settings since warmer months, so now I’m second guessing that decision. The system still did its job, but seeing that bigger overnight drop definitely got my attention.

During winter nights, do you adjust charge levels or reserves on your home battery to account for the cold, or do you just let the system handle it on its own?

Cold nights can definitely make battery behavior feel different, especially when nothing else changed. That overnight drop tends to stand out once you notice it.

Was this the first really cold night you’ve had, or have you seen smaller dips building up over time?
