Anyone tune their BMS differently during Christmas lighting season?

I am trying to keep my battery system stable this week while running a mix of Christmas lights and heating and I can see the load shifting more than usual. The BMS numbers look fine but the battery cycles a little harder on cold nights and the decorations add just enough extra draw to make me pay closer attention.

I already lowered the discharge limit a bit and pushed my evening charge window earlier so the system is topped off before the house lights and outdoor displays turn on. It seems to help but I am not sure if I should be doing more when December hits.

Does anyone adjust their settings during the holidays? Maybe different charge limits or slightly tweaked load schedules. I want to hear how others manage the mix of winter heating and all the holiday extras.

I tried tweaking a bunch of settings last year and honestly ended up stressing more. Now I just raise the minimum SOC and call it good. The extra cycling around sunset with lights on is pretty normal this time of year, at least from what I’ve seen.

Holiday loads plus winter heating definitely make systems work a little differently. It’s good you’re watching the BMS instead of reacting after something feels off.

Have you noticed the heavier cycling mostly overnight, or is it spread across the day?
