Home battery's Wi-Fi stick stopped communicating

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I'm hoping for some help with an issue I'm having with my home battery system. For the first few months, the Wi-Fi data stick was working great, feeding real-time data to the app on my phone. Recently however, it's just stopped. The app now says the device is "offline" or shows it as an "unknown stick," and the light on the dongle itself is blinking strangely. I've already tried the basic fix of unplugging and re-plugging the stick, but that hasn't worked. I suspect the communication port on the inverter itself might be stuck or locked up and is no longer responding to the dongle. Before I consider a full system shutdown and reboot, which I'd like to avoid, has anyone experienced this? Is there a known way to reset or reboot the inverter's communication port without cycling the power to the entire battery system? Any technical suggestions or advice would be a huge help. Thanks!

Some manufacturers offer a specific button or a menu option on the inverter to reset the communications module but it is not common across all brands. Most inverters need a full power cycle to properly reboot all their internal systems. Before you shut it down completely though you might want to try to go through the Wi-Fi pairing process again. Sometimes the network settings can get corrupted or the inverter just loses its connection to the stick even if the hardware is working. It's a common issue with a lot of smart home devices that don't have a stable Wi-Fi connection. If that does not resolve the issue, a full power cycle is likely the only way to get everything communicating properly again.

Is there a way to check if the stick is still broadcasting before doing a full reboot? I wonder if using a Wi-Fi extender nearby helps keep the connection stable.
