Funny question, did your housemates notice the outage once you had battery backup?

What was your family or housemate reaction the first time your backup system took over during an outage?

For me, I tested mine last week and my housemate didn’t even notice until I told them. Then suddenly they started asking if we should unplug things. I’m wondering if that’s a universal experience. What happened in your house?

Most people don’t notice unless there’s a little flicker or a beep from something sensitive. The “should we unplug stuff” reaction is common too, especially if they’re thinking about surges or draining the battery fast. Once folks see you’re only backing up a few essentials, they usually relax.

I’m still new to it, but the funniest part is how calm it feels, then someone realizes and immediately asks what not to run. I’m trying to keep it simple like check the app, confirm we’re on backup, then only turn off the heavy stuff if it’s going to be a longer outage.
