Anyone getting creative with time-of-use settings this month?

Now that it’s November and the weather’s cooled off here in South Carolina, I’ve been playing around with my system settings to see if I can squeeze out a bit more off-peak savings. Since the AC isn’t running much anymore, my energy use looks totally different, and I’m wondering if it’s worth changing my battery discharge timing to cover more of the early evening load instead of mornings. Anyone else reconfiguring things for the season? I’m trying to figure out if it makes sense to keep prioritizing solar storage or start leaning on the grid more during cheaper hours. I’m not sure what’s actually saving me money now that the days are shorter and cloudier. Curious what everyone else’s setup looks like this time of year.

I moved my discharge window later too like around 5 to 9 p.m. instead of mornings. Cooler temps make the battery last longer, so it’s actually handling that stretch pretty well.

yep, it makes sense to reconfigure your battery discharge timing for the winter season because winter peak hours are in the morning, unlike the evening peaks in summer.
To maximize savings, you should prioritize using your stored solar energy or charging your battery during cheap, off peak hours to cover your energy use during the expensive winter morning peak times

When November hits, the system’s “summer logic” doesn’t always make sense anymore. Some homeowners stretch grid use during the cheap hours and save storage for the higher evening rates. How big is your battery bank? Larger setups sometimes benefit from a split strategy.
