Wrong EG4 battery cycle count??

I'm seeing a strange issue with my new EG4 batteries and was hoping for some help.. My system has only been running for a little over two weeks, but my three batteries are already showing cycle counts of 26, 22, and 22. There's no way I've gone through that many 80% DoD cycles in just over two weeks. I've read this is a known issue, but I have a few questions I can't find clear answers on.

Does the BMS accurately track cycles regardless of what the monitor shows? Is there also any way to check the firmware version without disconnecting everything and using the PC program? If the cycle count doesn't affect the warranty, is it even worth worrying about? I've seen posts about people bricking their batteries with firmware updates and I don't want to risk that for a minor issue.

Thanks for any insight!!

That's a common issue with EG4 batteries. BMS does track the cycles accurately but the display on the monitor reports them incorrectly because of how it counts a "cycle."

Not a true 80% DOD cycle as advertised but a combination of small discharge and charge events that get flagged as a full cycle by the firmware.

You can't check the firmware version without disconnecting the batteries and using the PC program or a firmware adapter. The important thing is that the BMS is protecting your batteries properly, which it is. Hope that helps.
