When the battery just works, what hobbies do you do next?

Most of my hobbies lately have been pretty tech-focused, batteries included. This year I kind of want the opposite. Something slower and less analytical.

I’m personally thinking about cooking more and maybe learning a musical instrument. No apps, no charts, just enjoying the process. Feels like a good balance now that the home energy side is mostly hands-off.

What about you all? Any hobbies you’re interested in this year that have nothing to do with power or energy systems?

I want to learn photography now. have bought a basic DSLR camera for a beginner. I hope I can learn fast and share my work on my Insta

I’m trying to go non-tech too. The home battery and energy stuff scratches the planning itch, but I want a hobby that’s more social. Maybe joining a casual class, cooking, or even a beginner sport league. Something where I show up and don’t have to optimize anything.

I started woodworking last weekend with just hand tools and no power saws. There's something incredibly grounding about the sound of a manual plane on wood after a day of looking at digital dashboards

Once the home battery setup is boring and reliable, it frees up brain space for normal life again. Cooking is a great one, especially in cold January when you want something cozy. What instrument are you thinking about?
