What surprised you most after living with a home battery day to day?

A home battery sounds simple in theory. Store energy, use it later, feel like a genius during outages. Then you live with it day to day and you start noticing the little realities. The patterns, the habits, the things you watch more than you expected. And the moments where you realize you’ve basically adopted a new pet that communicates in percentages.

So I’m curious. What surprised you most after living with a home battery day to day?

Maybe it was how quickly it changed your awareness of loads. Maybe it was how often weather and timing matter. Maybe it was something you thought would be a big deal that ended up being a non issue.

Not looking for a spec breakdown. Just the real life surprise you only learn once it’s part of your routine. What was your biggest expectation vs reality moment?

I didn’t expect timing to matter this much. Same loads, different hour of the day, totally different battery behavior. Once that clicked, everything made more sense and the battery stopped feeling unpredictable.
