What numbers do you watch during a home battery test?

Let’s compare outage testing routines for home battery setups, especially the low stress ways to verify everything works. A lot of owners want to know if their reserve settings and backup panel priorities are correct, but they are not sure what to test, or what to watch while the system switches over.

When you do a test, what is your step by step approach, and what are the key numbers you pay attention to? If you track anything after the test, like runtime estimates, load changes, or settings you adjusted, mention that too. The goal is to help people confirm their system is ready before the next real outage hits.

My low stress test is keep it short and predictable. I pick a normal time, set the reserve where I want it, then simulate an outage and watch three things, the load in kW, battery percent, and whether the system switches clean with no weird flicker. After, I check how fast percent dropped under my usual loads so my runtime expectations are realistic.
