Trying to decide if I should change my battery settings this month

So the daylight hours have been dropping fast here in Kentucky and my battery is not filling up the way it used to. Nothing major but enough to make me think about tweaking my storage settings before winter fully settles in. I kind of want to raise the reserve and play with the charge window but I am not sure if I am jumping the gun or actually helping the system. Feels like every November I promise myself I will prepare earlier then suddenly the cold hits and I am scrambling. Curious what settings you all adjust first when the temps start dropping.

I get the same feeling every year. Soon as the daylight shifts, my battery stops hitting those nice full bars and I start poking at the settings like it’s going to magically fix winter. Raising the reserve helped me a bit because it keeps the battery from draining too deep on cold nights. What’s your system running on? a hybrid inverter or something simpler?

I usually bump the reserve a little once daylight starts shrinking. Nothing dramatic, just enough so the battery isn’t dipping deeper than I like on cloudy stretches. Charge window tweaks help too when the mornings get colder. What’s your reserve sitting at now?

Every November seems to creep up the same way, and suddenly the battery is filling like it is half asleep. Playing with the reserve is usually the easiest tweak and you can always dial it back once the weather settles. The charge window only really needs adjusting if you match your routine to it. Do you notice the system behaving differently on the colder mornings compared to the afternoons?
