So, my friend has this cabin that's totally off-grid, and he's trying to run it with a solar setup like you see in vans, a 120W panel, PWM, and a 100Ah LFP battery. Since he can't plug into the grid, what are some cheap ideas to make sure his battery stays charged?

hi @grid3scape, the simplest and cheapest fix in the long run is to simply add more panels.
A second 120W panel can double the charging speed for a relatively low cost.
It's the most effective way to address the core problem. The PWM charge controller they have might be able to handle a second panel, but they should check its maximum input wattage and voltage to be sure.
