Picking the right inverter for my battery

I'm building a small off grid setup for my cabin in northern Nevada. I have a 51.2V 180Ah LiFePO4 battery with a 150A BMS. I want to use a VoltEdge 10kW inverter, but my battery can only give about 7.5kW right now.

I plan to add more batteries later, but for now I just need power for lights, a fridge, and a few tools. Should I get a smaller 6kW inverter instead? Or is it okay to use the bigger one if I don't use all the power? Thanks for any advice!

Okay, go ahead and use the 10kW inverter, but try to keep the power draw below 7.5kW to keep from overloading the battery management system. That way, you'll have some extra room if you want to add more batteries later.

Make sure your battery system talks to the inverter, use the right fuses for your battery size, and keep it well-ventilated since those inverters can get hot.
