How much do you trust your BMS numbers right now?

Curious how accurate everyone’s BMS readings are right now. Mine’s been showing a solid 100% after charging, but I can tell from usage it’s not really full. I think the calibration might be slowly drifting because the numbers don’t match my daily draw anymore. I’m using a mix of solar charging and grid top-offs, so maybe that’s throwing it off. Has anyone done a full recalibration recently and noticed a big change? I don’t want to overthink it, but I’m starting to wonder if I should be tracking my cycles manually for a bit. I figure a few percentage points off won’t matter too much, but if it starts reading high all the time, that could get annoying fast.

That’s a good observation! BMS accuracy tends to wander a bit when charge sources vary or if you’re rarely cycling the battery fully. Some systems relearn automatically after a few full cycles, but others need a manual recalibration. How long has it been since your last full discharge and recharge?

I’d trust the BMS “mostly,” but not blindly. The mix of charging sources makes it wander a few points. A slow full recharge usually tightens the numbers again. I wouldn’t bother tracking manually unless it gets really out of sync.

if you aren't hitting a true 100% at least once a week, the BMS eventually loses the plot
you should get a grid top off to 100% once a week and let it sit at the high voltage for an extra hour so the BMS can snap back to reality and balance the cells. it’s like a factory reset for your SOC
