How do you manage holiday cooking and heating off grid?

Holiday cooking plus heating finally pushed my system close to its limit today. Everything stayed online but it was the first time this season where I really had to watch the numbers. Shorter daylight and heavier evening loads definitely caught up fast.

For those running off grid or heavily on backup, what is your December load strategy. Do you stagger cooking times, adjust battery limits, or lean more on generators during peak hours. I am trying to fine tune things before the bigger holiday days hit.

Most folks seem to manage this by staggering the big loads rather than changing hardware. Things like avoiding oven plus electric heat at the same time, shifting battery reserve a bit higher, or letting the generator handle short peak windows. Are you seeing the tightest squeeze in the early evening or later at night?
