Do you change charging times in winter to keep up with December loads?

My solar has been struggling to keep up with our holiday decorations and it feels like the battery is doing most of the heavy lifting. Shorter days and extra lighting are not a great combo this time of year. I am looking at my graphs and noticing I dip into the battery earlier in the evening than I want.

Do you shift your charging times in winter or set limits so the system does not drain too fast. I have been considering earlier top ups or reducing the depth of discharge but I am curious what routines others follow in December. Any winter tips would help before the decorations pull me too far into the red.

Winter is usually when people adjust schedules rather than hardware. Earlier top ups or a slightly higher reserve can help the battery avoid deeper dips during long nights. Watching a few days of data usually shows whether it is worth changing anything. Are your decorations on a fixed schedule or do they run until late?
