Battery system is solid but my curiosity faded

My home battery system has been stable and reliable for a while now, and honestly that’s a good thing. Everything works the way it should and I don’t really worry about it day to day. What surprised me is that I’m not as curious about new battery tech or updates anymore.

Earlier on, I used to follow every announcement and tweak settings just to see what would happen. Now I mostly leave things alone and let the system do its job. I can’t tell if that means I’ve settled into a good place or if I’ve just lost some of that early curiosity.

Has anyone else reached a point where reliability replaced the urge to keep exploring new battery tech?

A lot of people reach that phase once reliability settles in. Curiosity tends to calm down when there’s nothing demanding attention. Do you feel more relieved by that stability, or do you miss the experimenting side a bit?

honestly, I hit this point last year. I used to be obsessed with every 1% of efficiency, but now I just let the BMS do its thing
I think it’s less about losing interest and more about mission accomplished
You’ve dialed it in so well that there’s nothing left to solve. Now you can use that mental energy for a new project

that's a transition from hobby to utility. at first, the battery is the project. now, the battery is just the tool that enables your life
I stopped checking my SOC every hour and started focusing on what I can do with that power instead. it helps

I hit this wall last year. I used to check my app 20 times a day, now I only look if the power actually goes out
it’s like a refrigerator, that you don't obsess over the compressor tech once you know your milk stays cold.
Reliability is the highest form of tech specs anyway. the best system is the one you don't have to think about
