What did you change after seeing your home battery data?

When you started tracking battery and home loads, what was the first thing that made you go wait, that uses that much.

I’d love to hear what you did next. Did you add automations, set a schedule, change your backup reserve, move certain circuits off backup, or change how you run heavy loads during the day.

If you can, include a little context like your battery brand or capacity, and whether you’re using it mostly for backup, time of use savings, or solar self consumption. The “silent drain” probably looks different depending on the goal.

The biggest surprise was HVAC and how often it cycles, even when it feels like nothing is happening. I stopped trying to run it the same way during backup and set a tighter plan for heat and cooling. After that I adjusted reserve higher in winter because comfort loads chew through capacity fast.
