I knew setting up my Victron system would be a challenge, but I wasn't prepared for the cable disaster that came with it.

The Touch 50's 10ft cord? Way too long for where I'm mounting it. The VE.Direct cables? Fixed lengths, so I can't trim them down. I've already got some of it coiled up, but at this point, my wiring setup looks like a bird's nest.

I was thinking of using a small box to tuck away all the excess wiring, maybe even mounting the Cerbo or the Touch 50 to the lid. But before I go all in on that idea, I wanted to check—has anyone here found a better, cleaner way to organize all these cables?

I'd love to see pictures if you've got them! And if you've gone through this struggle yourself, what worked (or didn't work) for you?

zippities can be your best friend if you want the red neck solution or you can go with sleeves and management box to make things look pretty

I had cable chaos before, I organised them using cable ties and labelled them. my cables don't stress me now lol

That's a classic case of electrical spaghetti! Your idea isn't so bad, I've seen a friend do the same. Just make sure to get a box with decent ventilation or your wires would toast!

I bought a cable organizer a long time ago and i still use it. I've tried with zipp ties but those didn't work for me. i would suggest to get an organizer, is not that expensive and there are multiple varieties to choose from :)

Yep, solid advice. Labels and good organizers are lifesavers for keeping cables neat and stopping them from becoming a safety nightmare. Don't forget the airflow too, or things could get way too toasty

Totally get this! I installed a Victron setup in our off-grid cabin last spring, and the cable mess was real. I ended up using a shallow wall-mounted enclosure with cable combs and adhesive clips to guide and flatten the loops. Mounting the Cerbo GX to the lid worked great it's got easy access and way cleaner.

I found this video tutorial last month and it was very helpful in organizing my wires. I like using cord covers and split tubing.
