Hi folks,

New here, workshop UPS setup's acting up, voltage creeping past safe range. No solar connected. Wondering if it's a control fault.

Has this been sorted out? That loud hum and overcharge on your UPS is a serious issue. Since you have no solar, focus on the unit's internal components. I suggest you check your AVR circuit first. It often causes voltage creep. More importantly, unplug the UPS and let it sit for a few hours, then measure the battery terminal voltage directly. If it's much higher than the standard float charge, the charging circuit or its control components are faulty or stuck on. You have to check your manual but it's generally around 13.6V to 13.8V per 12V battery. Don't forget to power it down completely before you test anything. Let us know the voltage reading!
