Updating battery firmware

Part of me is tempted to just let it ride, yunno “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” but another part keeps thinking about the hidden perks because I'll most likely see better efficiency, smoother integrations, and stuff like that. But what I don’t want anyway is to rush into an update and end up staring at a bricked battery during the next storm. Do most of you follow a strict process when updating your battery firmware? or just whenever ?

I totally get the "if it ain't broke" mentality, especially with something as critical as backup power. My personal routine and what I see a lot of folks do is to wait a few weeks after a new update drops. Let the early birds find any nasty bugs. Once I see a few posts confirming stability and detailing the actual benefits then I'll do it. I also make sure to check the manufacturer's release notes for specific bug fixes or security patches. So if it's a critical security fix, I update sooner.

I usually wait and check the release notes first and if it’s just minor touch ups, I hold off. But for anything major or critical its kinda different for me

just want to say that the hidden perks (efficiency, integration) are tempting, but the primary job of a backup battery is reliability. Prioritize stability over a minor gain in efficiency, especially during storm season
