Should I disconnect my cracked solar panel?

My neighbor's slingshot cracked the glass on one of my solar panels. It's still working right now but we're in a dry season and it hasn't rained on it yet. I'm worried about what could happen once the rain comes. I don't have a new panel on hand, so I'm trying to figure out how urgent it is to replace it. This panel is connected with three others and I'm worried if it gets wet it could damage the other panels or even my charge controller.

It seems like it would be safer to just disconnect it for now and run my system with the remaining good panels until I can get a replacement. What do you all think?

Taking off that broken solar panel is a good idea. It keeps water from getting in and messing up your charge controller and other panels. Just keep your system running with the other panels until you can get a new one to put in its place.

Small cracks can cause big trouble later, like overheating, wasted energy, and even electrical dangers. It's not a huge deal right now, but you should swap out that panel ASAP if i were you....
