How long can a single Powerwall really last during an outage?

With the storms rolling through Delaware this month, I’ve been thinking more about backup power. I’ve got a single Powerwall setup, and I’ve never really tested how long it can hold out during a full outage.

For anyone who’s been through an extended power loss, how long does a single battery realistically last for you? I know it depends on usage, but I’m curious what’s typical like are we talking a few hours, half a day, or can it stretch a full day if you manage loads carefully? Would love to hear what kind of real-world runtime people are getting in Delaware or similar climates, especially when running basic stuff like lights, fridge, and internet.

Somewhere between 8 to 12 hours and maybe up to a full day if you’re really conservative with usage. Things like heaters or AC will eat it much faster, you should know that

Mine lasted about 10 hours during a summer outage running just essentials like fridge, router, and lights. Once the HVAC fan kicked in, it tanked fast. If you want a full day of power, you’ve gotta treat it like camping indoors: LED lights only, no standby electronics.

A single Powerwall feels huge until someone casually starts preheating the oven during an outage.
